Two cops in Los Angeles in 1947. Former boxers in different categories meet and collide in the ring and in life, where they share a woman and an obsession. The search for the Assassin "Black Dahlia", hunted and tracked down under the stardust of the City of Angels, the two lead investigators away from any form of emotional restraint and professional destiny leading them to two opposite and symmetrical. The imbalance and the restlessness of the anti-heroes created by the pen of James Ellroy noir (in a story inspired by true events) overflows in the film adaptation of Brian De Palma remains, however, of geometric elegance.
